7 March, Kathmandu | Hyatt Regency, a renowned hotel, celebrated International Women's Day by honoring influential female figures from Nepal. Among the recipients were Arika Gurung, the first Nepali silver medal achiever in the history of the Asian Games in karate at the age of 19, AIGP Dr. Asha Singh, the Medical Director of Nepal Police Hospital, Brinda Hada, the first female Secretary of the Nepal Government, Aarati Chataut, the Deputy General Manager of Nepal Television, Ila Sharma, a lawyer and former Election Commissioner of Nepal, and Suchitra Thapa, the first District Governor of Lions Club.
