Kathmandu, August 16 | United Nature International Peace UNIPUN Nepal successfully held its First General Assembly and celebrated its Third Anniversary in Kathmandu on Shrawan 31 with grandeur, electing a new national executive committee to lead the organization.
Ven Dr Raju Lama P Kondan was elected as the National President of Nepal, while Mr Ravi Raj Shahi was chosen as the National Executive President. Mr Pralhad Dahal and Mr Hikmat Dahal were elected as National Vice Presidents, and Mr Dipak Chandra Gautam as the National General Secretary. Mr Tika Prasad Ghimire and Mr Hari Sharan Manandhar were appointed as National Joint Secretaries, while Mrs Manju Shrestha was elected as the National Finance Secretary. Other major appointments included Mr Saroj Ojha as National Press and Publication Coordinator, Mr Karan Raj Awasthi as National Legal Coordinator, Mr Yubaraj Siwakoti as National Project Coordinator, Mr Manoj Ghimire as National Public Relations Officer, Mr Ram Bahadur Tamang as National Emergency Coordinator, Dr Prapti Kunwar as National Women Coordinator, Mr Mukunda Khanal as National Health Coordinator, Mr Ram Bhakta Dahal as National Deputy Coordinator, Mr Dambar Lama as National Organizing Coordinator, Mrs Minaxi Rauniyar as National Women Leader, Mr Tak Bahadur Tamang as National Youth Coordinator, Mr Dhruba Raj Tiwari as National Finance Coordinator, Mr Dipak Shahi as National Sports Coordinator, Mr Durga Prasad Bastola as National Office Secretary, Mr Dipesh Majhi as National Press and Publication Vice Coordinator, Mr Ramesh Gole as National Economic Coordinator, Mr Shail Sharma as National Youth Leader, Mr Dip Prasad Dhamala as National Refugees Coordinator, Mrs Tara Sharma Paudel as National Child Protection Coordinator, Mr Keshav Basnet as National Senior Citizens Protection Coordinator, and Ms Pabitra Bhandari as Assistant Finance Coordinator.

The elected executive members included Mr Bimal Bhattarai, Ms Deepika Rayamajhi, Mr Bishnu Prasad Adhikari, Ms Devika Magar, Mr Moti Tamang, Ms Nirja Shakya, Ms Sadiksha Dhakal, Mr Surya Karki, Ms Vijaya Laxmi Singh, Mr Ravi Ratan Rawat, Ms Kalpana Kunwar, Mr Keshab Basnet, Ms Shanta Rayamajhi Kunwar, Mr Madhu Bikram Kunwar, Mr Ganesh Prasad Sapkota, Mr Shyam Ghimire, Mr Shiva Prasad Pathak, Mr Madan Maharjan, Mr Ram K Puri, Ms Nikita Shrestha, P.K. Sherpa and Mr Krishna Bahadur Shrestha.
The election process was overseen by Chief Election Officer Mr Sudan Ghimire, assisted by Election Officers Mr Ashitosh Mishra and Mr Ramesh Chandra Gautam. Following the declaration of results, the stage was handed over to them for official proceedings.
This was followed by a felicitation program honoring various organizations and personalities including Balbalika Basta Nepal, Rajya Dainik, Samudayik Swasthya Sewa Parishad Dallu Aawas, Samaj Dental Hospital, and journalist Pramila Pitambari Khatriwada for their contributions to society.
The event was graced by Byakul Maila, the lyricist of Nepal’s National Anthem, as Chief Guest. In his address, he noted, “True peace comes when humanity learns to live in harmony with nature. I am confident that UNIPUN will carry this message forward.”

In his commitment speech, National President Dr. Raju Lama P Kondan reaffirmed, “Our pledge is to work for peace, human rights, and environmental conservation not just for Nepal but as part of a global effort."

Professor Dr. Bulanda Thapa delivered a special goodwill message where he said, “The strength of this organization lies in its unity and vision. If we continue to walk together with sincerity, UNIPUN Nepal will become a model for peace and international cooperation.”

The program began with a welcome dance by Yunista Rasaili, followed by a welcome speech from National Vice President Pralhad Dahal, who remarked that “this gathering is not only a celebration of the past three years but also a stepping stone toward greater service for humanity and peace.”
During the assembly, Mr Dipak Chandra Gautam presented the organizational progress report, financial report, and future plans, highlighting that “despite many challenges, UNIPUN Nepal has continued to serve society with programs for peace, environment, and humanitarian aid.”
The assembly also appointed Dr Piyaratna Maharjan as National Patron, HR Mr..Bijay Awale as International Advisor, Mr Bishnu Bahadur Karkee as National Advisor, and Dr. Bulanda Thapa as Chief Advisor. Certificates of membership were distributed by Ven Dr Raju Lama P Kondan.
The program was formally presented by Hikmat Dahal, Immediate Past General Secretary, who expressed his gratitude to all members for their dedication.0
National Executive President Ravi Raj Shahi delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging everyone’s contributions and stating, “This is only the beginning of a new chapter. Together, we will turn our vision into reality.”
